-We just wanted to update you that Westfield State has officially won the MASCAC Championship. In winning the MASCAC Tournament, Westfield receieves an automatic bid to the NCAA Regional Tournament.
Salem State forced a second game to be played, with a 4-3 victory in 10 innings, to force a tie-breaker in the double elimination tournament. Westfield State came back to take the second game with a 12-1 victory over Salem to win their first ever MASCAC Tournament Championship and NCAA appearance since 1984.
